Once a week I'll try to post a favorite out of that huge drawer of negatives...
St. Michael's Cathedral, Kyiv, Autumn 2000
One of the most important churches in Ukraine, the monastery on St. Michael's grounds dates back to the 11th century. But the cathedral was torn down during the 1930s as the Bolsheviks struggled to cleanse the country of religion and open up land for the construction of socialist government buildings. But they never got around to building on St. Michael's site, and in the early 90s, the government of newly independent Ukraine made reconstruction of the cathedral a priority. Work began in 1997, the final gold leaves were laid on the domes in late 2000.
One of my favorite photos because -- if I say so myself -- I think managed to do the subject justice.

I thought the maximum width was 400?
I really like this shot, especially the contrast between the metallic sheen and the blue sky. Lovely.
I liked very.
Congratulations by the beautiful photos.
